My Pigs

So it's back to the grinding stone for Dan the Man Worwood. Not exactly jumping out of my socks in excitement here. Being able to be home in Hurricane for a bit reminded me of how badly I love that place. It's seriously paradise on earth, complete with four-wheelers, swimming pool, Peach Days, and yes, piglets. My Brother's Pig, Margo, gave birth to 12 piglets! Although 3 didn't pull through in the end, that's still an incredible feat to me.

The coolest thing was that I got watch her while she gave birth. Animals to me are just amazing. Margo patiently just lay on her side while about every ten minutes a new piglet popped out. Once a piglet popped out they kind of just rolled around in the dirt until the amniotic sac came off. What was crazy to me was how not only could the piglets immediately walk, but that they knew where to go to get milk. Nature is amazing. Some of the piglets names are spork, Peter Porker, Cinny Minny, and Maxwell.

Anyways, That's all I feel like talking about. Those piglets are hilarious though. If you try to pick one up they start sqealing like mad and Margo goes all crazy. It's kinda funny. 1. Pigs are mammals. Humans are mammals. I hope you find it just as amazing when your wife is popping out babies. :)

Hurricane is awesome. I miss it! (Did I just say that? Yes I did!) SO many fun things to do there! I miss my family, the lake, four wheeling, bonfires...all that good stuff! I can't wait until next time I get to go home! SO jealous!

  3. Pigs... I'm guessing the only reason Margo was laying patiently on her side is because she didn't have vocal cords to say, "Get these babies OUT OF ME!" and "THIS REALLY HURTS!" I'm glad you're so in awe of childbirth though. Because I've been learning about it in depth in developmental psychology and it is g-r-o-s-s.
